Administratively, Angola consists of 18 provinces, led by provincial Governors appointed by the President of the Republic, who is also the Head of Government.
The province of Cabinda is an enclave and forms a small territory detached from main land Angola by the Democratic Republic of Congo and confined to the north and northeast by the Republic of Congo.
