2º OBIT DECLARATION FOR CONSULAR REGISTRATION
The death of Angolan citizens deceased abroad, must first be communicated by the competent local authorities, as required by the countries that signed or adhered to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (paragraph a), section 37) which determines that the receiving State is obligated, in the case of death of a national from the sending State, to immediately inform the Consular Post of the jurisdictional area that it covers and in which the death occurred.
Required documents:
- Original Death Certificate issued by the local authorities (translated into Portuguese and notarized); and
- Identification of the deceased (Identity card or Passport).
